Kanye West at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival
Kanye West is a rapper who said in the wake of the Hurricane Katrina disaster: 'George Bush doesn't care about black people.' He didn't vote for anyone in the US presidential election on 8 November 2016 Shortly after the election, Kanye said in a concert in San Jose that if he would have voted, it would have been for Donald Trump. This drew the ire of many of his fans, who booed. He is thinking about running for president in 2020.[1][2]

On 22 November 2016, Kanye's doctor placed him on a 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold.[3][4][5] He was hancuffed to a gurney and taken to a hospital after his doctor told police that he 'attempted to assault a staff member at a gym'.[4]
